Elie brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism and expertise in insurance, finance, and banking for nearly three decades. Holding a bachelor's degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut, He started his career with Arab Commercial Enterprises (ACE) Insurance Brokers and eventually reached the rank of Assistant Vice President. He joined Cumberland Insurance & Reinsurance Co. as executive director and member of the board of directors. He co-founded Capital Finance Company (CFC) and was a member of its board for ten years.

Following that, he was appointed as Deputy General Manager at CreditBank. He has been a member of the European Financial Management and Marketing (EFMA) from 2011 till 2019. He is also a member of the investment committee, risk & compliance committee at Arabia Insurance Company (AIC). He also represents Arabia Insurance Company (AIC) as a board member in AICJ (Jordan).
